Porfirio Antonio Mojica is a professional pianist absorbed  in the harmonious genres of Gregorian Chant, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary, and Gospel, to name a few. He also courses in the jazz realm, with musical forms ranging from the dynamic shades of a Scott Joplin 'ragtime' and, the fiery 'stride' of James. P. Johnson, to the pianistic lexes of Art Tatum, Bill Evans, Theolonius Monk, Oscar Peterson, and Keith Jarrett.

Mr. Mojica attended Michigan State University, majoring in Piano Performance under the guidance of Dr. John Shelby Richardson. Upon proceeding west, he transferred to the University of California, Irvine, majoring in Psychology.  He sustained classical piano eruditions with concert pianist Norberto Cappone.  Further musical studies commenced with prominent jazz piano artistes' - Tamir Hendelman, Ron Kobayashi, Mark Massey, and Llew Matthews.

Mr. Mojica functions as full-time staff-pianist at Mount San Antonio College, Walnut, CA, for the past 18 years. Primary duties include artistic alliances with classical ensembles, notably; Chamber Singers, Opera Scenes, Conducting, and Individual Instruction [Classical, Art Songs, Opera, Jazz, and Musical Theatre.] He also works with the vocal jazz ensembles 'Singcopation' [1st place Jazz Festival, Guangzhou, China 2012 and Magdeburg, Germany 2015] and 'Frontline' [1st place for College Jazz Ensemble -Reno Jazz Festival 2014 & 2015.] Supplementary college duties include Beginning and Intermediate Voice classes, and Vocal Coaching sessions. Mr. Mojica has assisted as Principal Pianist for the following organizations; Regional, All-State, and National Honor Choirs for CMEA (California Music Educators Association), SCVA (Southern California Vocal Association), ACDA (American Choral Directors Association), IAJE (International Association of Jazz Education), PCSGV (Pueri Cantores/San Gabriel Valley), and MMC (Mountainside Master Chorale.) In addition, Mr. Mojica also attains the characters of Musical Director/Pianist for various Musical Theater sites; Whittier Community Theatre, Covina Valley Playhouse, Hungry Artist Co., Costa Mesa Playhouse, Riverside Community College, and Fullerton Civic Light Opera. Mr. Mojica presently ministers as Music Director/ChoirMaster/Organist for St. Ambrose Episcopal Church, Claremont, CA and Pianist/Organist for Sacred Heart Catholic Church, West Covina, CA.
